Chocolate Peanut Butter Hummus

A can of chickpeas and some peanut butter is all you need to get this party started. Treat the kids to a snack that feels decadent but is high in protein and healthy fats, or bring some to Thanksgiving for an alternative to all those sugary pies and cakes. And really, who can deny a great dip?!

Ingredients

  • 15-oz. can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/3 c. honey or your favorite sweetener
  • 1/4 c. creamySaratoga Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 c. unsweetened dutch process or dark chocolate cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Optional toppings:
    • Mini chocolate chips
    • Flaky sea salt
    • Drizzle of warm peanut butter

Instructions

    1. Place all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor.
    2. Blend until smooth and transfer to a serving bowl.
    3. Optional:
      1. Melt about 2 tablespoons peanut butter in the microwave and drizzle over dip.
      2. Top with mini chips and flaky sea salt, or other garnishes!
